Hostess, the snack company behind Twinkies, occasionally links up with Walmart to offer some exclusive items to customers. Remember last year's 3-foot-long Twinkies Holiday Gift Box? How about those ZingerDingers (we love the name, too) made of vanilla cake in the shape of Ding Dongs topped with Zingers’ coconut?

Well, the two brands have been working together again on a first-of-its-kind creation: a mystery-flavored Twinkie. For months, customers have been trying to guess the secret flavor. Now, thanks to content creator Taylor Calmus (aka Dude Dad), the mystery is finally solved.

Twinkies Reveals Its Mystery Flavor

Back in July, Hostess introduced a limited-edition Twinkies flavor at Walmart, but with a catch—you had to guess the flavor.

The Mystery Twinkies sparked a lot of excitement on social media, with customers tossing out all sorts of flavor guesses. “Pineapple upside down cake is my best guess,” one user commented, while another chimed in with, “Banana cream pie.” Meanwhile, on the Allrecipes Editorial Team, we had our money on fruit cocktail through and through.

After months of keeping fans guessing, the mystery flavor has finally been unveiled in, might we add, true dramatic fashion.

In an Instagram post, Taylor Calmus revealed the mystery flavor to the world: Blue Raspberry. While some fans had suspected a raspberry twist, the retro ‘blue raspberry’ flavor was a bit too specific to pinpoint just by taste—after all, it's not actually a real flavor. Still, fans thought it "tasted great."

Even though the mystery has been solved, you can still snag the limited-edition Twinkies if you’re curious to try them. They’re available exclusively at Walmart while supplies last.

But, if you're more interested in moving on to seasonal flavors, we understand. Hostess still has you covered with a sweet line-up of fall-flavored treats, also available at Walmart—and don't worry, there's no guesswork involved with these snack cakes.
