Vacheron Constantin is offering watch fans a rare opportunity to see – and budget allowing, to buy – a selection of its historic watches.

For the second time the storied watch house has pulled together a number of vintage watches under its “Les Collectionneurs” banner. They've been sourced by its heritage department via auction houses and contacts with private individuals, restored and are sold with a blockchain-based certificate of guarantee.

The eleven vintage watches span the 20th Century and are on display at the Vacheron Constantin boutique in London for the next month.

Highlights include a model 4261 18k yellow gold minute repeater, one of less than 40 produced by the company between 1944 and 1951, a much sought-after model with collectors. Also an 18k yellow gold open-face world time pocket watch from 1949, featuring a 24-hour dial divided into two zones – blue for night, silver for day – and graduated with the name of 41 cities and places.

“The collection perpetuates this precious link between past and present, enabling our clientele of connoisseurs and collectors to acquire restored vintage pieces, which is a real guarantee,” says Christian Selmoni, style & heritage director for the brand.

“As for the events organised around the world to unveil these pieces, they attract both seasoned collectors and young generations eager to delve more deeply into watchmaking history.”

“Les Collectionneurs”, London is at 37 Old Bond Street, W1S 4AB from 7 June to 8 August. vacheron-constantin.com
