Trust Monikh—I Just Made the Ultimate Autumn Capsule With 17 Pieces

·3-min read

My favourite fashion month is here! Yes, September is all about a new vibe. Out with the bright summer tones, light fabrics and playful patterns and in with the more serious pieces. A/W 21 means business, especially as we didn’t really get to enjoy it last year with the constant lockdowns and restrictions. Our floor-length coats and statement bags were replaced by tracksuits and trainers, so we are more than ready to go for it!

My autumn capsule this year is made up of a little light cashmere, some forest-green leather, cropped jackets, ’70s-style cardigans and chunky boots. September is the month to start collecting those key staple pieces that will keep you going through the upcoming colder months. And I’ve kicked it off with 17 pieces to mix into your working wardrobe right now, with light layers and deep tones to start working towards that full-on winter vibe.

Keep scrolling for the 17 pieces I really love for autumn.

Shop My Capsule

H&M Shirt with a Sheen (£18)

The perfect day-to-night shirt. Wear it open with two gold necklaces layered.

& Other Stories Long Pencil Skirt (£45)

A skirt so simple you can dress it a thousand ways.

Sophie Buhai Donut Jade Ring (£590)

I'm all about a statement piece.

Source Unknown Diagonal Button Up Second-Skin Top, Milk Chocolate (£43)

I had been looking for an asymmetrical top like this for ages!

Emme Parsons Slides (£380)

Another pair of shearling slides. Yes, I’m that sure about them!

H&M Broderie-Detail Jumpsuit (£70)

The ready-made outfit. This boiler shape looks great teamed with kitten heels and a clutch for evening drinks.

The Frankie Shop Cala Organic Cotton Shirt Dress (£168)

A shirt dress screams winter. Wear it with the leather COS vest and shearling slides.

COS Leather Vest Top (£180)

A classic autumn colour every year. Layer this with shirts and dresses by day and on its own with jeans and heels by night.

Naya Rea Sonya Blouse (£225)

Florals all year round.

The Frankie Shop Isla Pleated Crepe Straight-Leg Pants (£200)

The Frankie Shop does the best trousers.

Seree Playground Skinny Jade Stone Stacking Rings (£26)

Make your rings acrylic this season, and layer them.

Sabina Sommer Alyssa Black Dress (£184)

Another forever dress. This black-linen midi makes a big impact in the most effortless way.

Rixo Aoife Paisley Scarf Mix (£295)

The perfect way to start bringing in those darker tones and autumnal patterns. It works with sandals now and chunky boots when the temperatures drop.

Ganni Quilted Wrap Jacket (£255)

Already a favourite of mine with this very indecisive weather.

Miista Shoes Abril Black Boots (£340)

I love that mid-calf cutoff.

Zara Long Jacquard Coat (£80)

A great way to start introducing those layers.

The Row Allie Zipped Boots (£1290)

I’ve worn the black-leather version nonstop for the last two years, so I am excited to soften the colour palette with the brown-suede version this autumn.
