Trump Slammed On Twitter For Tweeting Condolences About The Wrong Mass Shooting
President Donald Trump has been accused of using a template for his condolence messages after he appeared to tweet about the wrong mass shooting.
On Tuesday night, Trump tweeted: "May God be with the people of Sutherland Springs, Texas. The FBI and Law Enforcement has arrived."
May God be with the people of Sutherland Springs, Texas. The FBI and Law Enforcement has arrived.

Sutherland Springs, Texas, was the location of the church shooting on 5th November where 26 people were killed and 20 others left wounded. However, the tweet above was posted as news broke that four people had been fatally shot by a lone gunman in Northern California.
People on Twitter were quick to notice the mix-up, including Piers Morgan who wrote: "At least get your mass shootings right, Mr President. This was last week. The new one is in California."
The tweet was also very similar to the post Trump shared on the day of the Texan shooting over a week ago.
May God be w/ the people of Sutherland Springs, Texas. The FBI & law enforcement are on the scene. I am monitoring the situation from Japan.

This led to many claims that the president had been "copying and pasting" his tweets. Others were left baffled by the confusion.
Did u just copy & paste this & forget to change the city?

Trump just tweeted again about the church shooting in Sutherland Springs. The 1st tweet was the day of the event, 9 days ago. Is this his shooting tweet template? He forgot to change the location to today's shooting: California. pic.twitter.com/IToC7UXkyP

The President of the United States is tweeting at midnight about the wrong mass shooting and it's like the 500th most insane Trump story of the week.

Even for Trump, this is astounding: he’s confused last week’s mass shooting with yesterday’s. Terrible insult to the victims of both. https://t.co/trwjMyzvcS

The shootings in California occurred in the rural community of Rancho Tehama Reserve, a homeowners association in a sparsely populated area about 130 miles north of Sacramento. The gunman behind the rampage shot 14 people, killing four, in seven different locations, including an elementary school, before he died in a shootout with police.
