With the star set to turn 55 early next year and her complexion resembling something of new-born babe, it's fair to say that Jennifer Aniston is someone who's become synonymous with the term 'A-list worthy glow'.

So how does she achieve such a healthy-looking complexion that screams effortless Cali girl vibes? Thankfully it's no big secret given that her every beauty move has been documented. This is the woman who sparked a haircut trend like no other, after all.

So, what do we know about Jen's beauty routine? Well, for a start she owns an infrared sauna, which she uses post-workout. These are renowned for increasing circulation, and reducing wrinkles, which is why Glow Bar has become one of London's best-loved beauty spots. She's also said to be a big fan of Thermage, a non-invasive clinical treatment that stimulates collagen production in the skin by using radiofrequency waves, helping to smooth and tighten skin in less than an hour.

But aside from expensive treatments, she keeps her day to day skincare routine surprisingly simple. So simple in fact, I couldn't resist giving it a go. Here's what happened when I decided to switch out my products for hers...

So, what is Jennifer Aniston's skincare routine?

1. Soap, water & SPF

In a previous interview with Instyle, Jen revealed that 'drinking water, sleep, and sunscreen' are her top anti-ageing tips and that she washes her face with soap and water.

So far, so easy. Except, I find soap too harsh for my skin type. After two days I go back to using my beloved Tata Harper Cleanser.

2. Face Masks

Over on her IG stories, Jen was spotted wearing these rose gold eye masks. I found that they did work wonders at pepping up my eye area, so would definitely advise before a big event or if you've had a rocky night's sleep.

It's not just the eye masks Jen is a fan of, she also likes 111Skin's Anti-Blemish Bio Cellulose Mask, which she donned backstage before the Emmy Awards.

I tend to suffer from hormonal breakouts, so this facial mask came in handy, however coming it at 20 quid for a single-use product, I'd say you're better off investing in a product where you can get better bang for your bang, such as La Roche-Posay Effaclar Mask, which will only set you back £15 for multiple uses.

3. Blemish Treatment

It's nice to know that even with access to the world's best skincare, celebs are not immune from breakouts. When spots turn up unannounced Jen says, 'first I roll my eyes and get annoyed, and usually I will put some sort of a drying lotion on. I don’t pick it, although I used to. Mario Badescu has a great drying lotion that I used for years and years.'

I'm with Jen on this, this is a brilliant product for quickly dialling down an angry and aggressive looking spot thanks to salicylic acid, sulfur, and zinc oxide that work to draw out oil and dirt while you sleep.

4. Royal Jelly

Back in 2014, the actress told Women's Health that she had been loving Royal Jelly. 'It's from beehives. I got it in France, but you can get it anywhere. I noticed if you take a spoon of that a day, it helps,' she says.

Now you can indeed take this as a supplement but it's also a skincare ingredient found in Guerlain's Abeille Royale range. I give their Renew & Repair Serum a go, and even though it's only been few weeks of testing it, I'm hooked. My skin looks bright and feels bouncy.

5. A Facial Toning Tool

Jen is a devotee of make-up artist Jillian Dempsey's facial tool, which is a 24-carat, gold-plated, vibrating t-bar that is said to lift, sculpt and depuff.

I'm already a big fan of gua sha so using this is easy enough. It feels cool on the skin and is definitely something I would recommend getting into the habit of using.

6. A Serum

According to the brand, Jen is among a handful of celebs to have credited Swisscode Pure Hyaluron as the product behind her enviable glow. Formulated with the highest possible concentration of clinical-grade hyaluronic acid, it's said to increase skin moisture levels by 20% in under two hours while enhancing the skin’s absorption of Vitamin C by three times.

I'd recommend this for those with really dry skin because it really delivers on the hydration front. Fine lines also look less obvious. The only downside is that at 90 a pop, it's not cheap.

Jennifer Aniston's Skincare Routine: My verdict

Super easy and not as expensive as I thought it was going to be, this is definitely a routine I can get behind. For me, the only thing missing an acid-based product, which I rely on for skin brightening.

But perhaps Jen doesn't need it because she has access to a sauna? Or perhaps she's just blessed with incredible genes? Either way, if you're looking to give your routine a boost, Jen's advice and product recommendations are pretty much spot on.
