A lot happened this weekend in the Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce cinematic universe, and whether you are a Swiftie or not, you’ve probably seen some version of the exciting lyric change discourse and that adorable kiss on your TikTok or Instagram feed.
The NFL player and singer have been spotted together on date nights and supporting each other’s professional careers of late. This weekend, they came as close as you can get to an explicit confirmation of the relationship without actually saying the words “we’re dating.”
The “Karma” singer swapped some the lyrics of her hit song to shout-out her boyfriend while performing “The Eras Tour” concert in Buenos Aires, Argentina, on Saturday Sept. 11.
The 34-year-old Kansas City Chiefs tight end attended the show in the VIP section and was quickly spotted and filmed by fans as he danced, sang and stared at his girlfriend in awe the entire time.
The 33-year-old completely shocked fans, her dad, Scott Swift, (who was also at the concert), Kelce and ever her backup dancers when she sang the lyric “Karma is the guy on the Chiefs coming straight home to me,” instead of the original, “Karma is the guy on the screen coming straight home to me.”
The athlete and his brother, fellow NFL player and dad of three, Jason Kelce, who plays for Swift’s home team, the Philadelphia Eagles, discussed the tea on the latest episode of their New Heights podcast.
“How does it feel to officially be the guy on the Chiefs?” Jason asked his younger brother.
“You mean ‘Karma’?” Travis responded with a chuckle. “Yeah, no I had no clue... might have had a little bit of a clue. Definitely when I heard it come out of her mouth, [it] still shocked me. I was like oh shhhh, she really just said that.”
Scott, who was beside Travis the whole night, turned to him for a high-five, but the football star was so preoccupied and busy smiling while holding his hands to his face in surprise that he missed the gesture.

Jason pointed out that Scott was also wearing a Chiefs lanyard, despite being an Eagles fan—and made a friendly joke: “You’re gonna let this man’s devilishly good looks and relationship with your daughter sway you from a lifetime of fandom, Scott?”
Travis revealed that he, Taylor and her father had dinner the night before and he might have “swayed” the Tennessee resident and former college football player over to the “good side.”
“For those of you who haven’t seen all the videos of me on your TikTok and Instagram, I was enjoying myself down there. The show was even more electric knowing that I had a little bit more to enjoy it for. Taylor absolutely ripped it,” Travis gushed, and added that he needed to get Jason and his daughters to the next concert. “It will absolutely blow you away, man.”
“Anyone do anything fun last weekend? 😂New episode with the Sexiest Man Alive and The Guy on the Chiefs out NOW!! Link in bio,” the duo captioned an Instagram clip promoting the episode.
