This new video shows a robot designed by Swiss-Mile a spin-off of ETH Zürich university. Their humanoid-quadruped transformer is superior to other four-legged machines as it can perform practical skills such as calling an elevator - and will soon be able to grab packages and open doors. It showed off these incredible abilities during AI firm Nvidia’s CEO Jensen Huang’s keynote address at the GTC developers’ conference in March 2022. AI is key to the Swiss-Mile robot’s operations as it helps it navigate and develop its abilities simulating how to navigate difficult terrain or tasks using an AI engine and computerised simulations. This reduces the time taken to learn new thighs from months to weeks and greatly increases the possibilities of the technology.
