The Traitors gives fans 'TV moment of the year' minutes into finale
BBC The Traitors fans have crowned their 'TV moment of the year' just minutes into the series finale.
The hit gameshow has finally reached its end, with the four Faithfuls left remaining in the castle whittled down to two winners, Leanne and Jake. Friday night's (January 24) episode kicked off with a bang as the 'Seer' Francesca discovered that Charlotte is a Traitor.
While uncovering a Traitor should have left the group delighted, Charlotte sowed seeds of doubt among the Faithfuls by denying Francesca claims about her cloaked identity. The BBC star pulled Leanne away from the rest of the group and broke down into tears, assuring her that she is a Faithful.
However, it was not the duo's heated race to prove their faithfulness that left viewers captivated. Instead, it was today's helicopter challenger that has set social media abuzz.

The final game of the series offered the group the chance to bag £30,00 towards their prize fund. Claudia set the contestants out on a challenge where they were tasked with dropping pouches with different prize into rings of fire, all while being tied to flying helicopters.
Although the other players were visibly terrified by the game, Alexander took it with ease and even started laughing.
BBC audiences took to X, formerly Twitter to share their reactions to the scene. One person penned: "Alexander hanging from a helicopter is going to give us the TV moment of the year," while a second said: "Alexander just laughing his head off I can't cope."
A third Traitors fan exclaimed: "Alexander laughing hanging off the helicopter!!! Lol." Meanwhile, a fourth jokingly suggested the 38-year-old's next TV role, stating: "Alexander really is replacing Daniel Craig as the next James Bond."
Yet another viewer praised the mission and quipped: "The helicopter task has to be the best task of any show EVER."
Over the last three weeks, viewers have watched Traitors Minah, Linda and Armani banished. The latest Traitor to be axed was Minah, who was ousted by Charlotte, shortly after she recruited her.
The final Traitor then recruited 20-year-old Freddie as her partner, but soon constructed a scheme to make him appear suspicious to other Faithfuls. Her plan was successful and led to Freddie being voted out in the penultimate episode.
In tonight's final roundtable, Charlotte's journey came to an end as she was banished by the Faithfuls, who trusted Francesca's word against hers. However, she left a stain on the 44-year-old's reputation with the final words: "I totally get it, Frankie's played a blinder but do not trust this woman."
After the heated roundtable, the remaining four Faithfuls ousted Francesca and Alexander at the last hurdle, leaving Leanne and Jake as the winners of a massive £94,600.
The Traitors is now available to stream on BBC iPlayer.
