Traitors' Charlotte Chilton in tears over newborn looking 'identical' to estranged dad Conor Maynard
New mum, Charlotte Chilton - one of the standout stars on The Traitors when it graced our screens back in January, has had quite the year since we saw her on the small screen.. Currently living with her supportive parents at their home in Warwickshire while she saves for her own place, it is clear as we chat to her during OK!'s exclusive at home shoot, that the 33-year-old is in a blissful baby bubble, since welcoming her adorable newborn daughter, Penelope on 13th October, weighing 6lb 7oz.
Penelope and Charlotte, she tells OK!, will share Charlotte’s maiden name Thornett, once Charlotte’s divorce from her ex-wife Laura Chilton is finalised. And the TV star is clearly delighted to be mum to her little girl. Yet there is one element of motherhood that does make her regretful. The first-time mum – who has publicly claimed Penelope’s father is singer Conor Maynard, who she has alleged is not involved with the baby – is sad that Conor is completely uninvolved in her daughter's life.
Charlotte met Conor while she was on a night out with The Traitors winner Harry Clark, who dates Conor’s sister, Anna and she claims of Penelope, "He knows. I’ve not heard anything,” She claims the pair hit it off straight away and enjoyed a brief relationship but once she found out she was pregnant, she claims Conor wanted nothing to do with her or the baby.

And though she is clearly smitten with her little one - who she says was a 'miracle' after five years of infertility and multiple miscarriages, she maintains that the pain of that situation, especially when she looks at her little girl's features, really hits home. “There’s been days where I’ve been in tears because I’m sitting here thinking, ‘I’ve got a daughter that looks f**king identical to you’,” she says. “She’s got his eyes, his hair, his facial expressions.”
As for whether she wants Conor in Penelope's life, she adds: "“If she wants to walk away from him, that’s fine, but she needs to make that decision for herself when she’s older. I’m not going to deny her contact if he decides he wants to see her.”
Currently single, Charlotte admits that she does want to 'get back' on the dating scene, confessing: "“I love being in love. It’s my favourite thing in the world. But I have no idea where to begin. Thankfully, I don’t feel I need someone right now as I have Penelope, I’m so content just cuddling her. There’s no love like it.”
