The Traitors in biggest shock yet as previously axed contestants 'return' in huge twist
The Traitors is set to air its biggest shock yet after three previously axed contestants returned in a huge twist.
We're only three episodes into the new series of The Traitors and it's safe to say that the nation is already hooked with all of the lies, manipulation and treachery.
The first episode, which aired last Wednesday (January 1st) on BBC One, saw three contestants eliminated before they even had a chance to enter the iconic twist.
While on the train, host Claudia Winkleman appeared on the speaker and told the contestants that three of them had to depart each carriage on the train or they risk losing £10,000.
Deciding to be selfless, Alexander, Fozia and Jack put themselves forward and said goodbye to their Traitors dream as the train pulled away.
However, in a massive twist nobody will see coming, the three stars are reportedly returning to the show for a second chance at winning the huge cash prize.

A source told The Sun: "It took months of careful and stringent casting to scour the nation for the best characters, with producers sifting through over 300,000 applications.
"So Beeb bosses weren’t going to let these three brilliant personalities go without any proper airtime.
"It was all left to chance in the first few scenes as to who would get kicked off the show, as the contestants decided among themselves.
"So producers had planned all along to save the trio and reinstate them further down the line as the game hots up.
"A ruthless new challenge will be introduced to maximise the drama and see contestants vying for survival. It’s going to be nail-biting viewing."
Their return was teased at the end of Friday's episode as a cliffhanger saw three hooded figures with masks on appear on a horse-drawn carriage.
The carriage was marked as "rail replacement" which sparked rumours of the trio's return as it linked back to the initial arrivals on the train.
Fans were convinced the axed stars would be returning as one penned on X, formerly known as Twitter: "#TraitorsUK The ones who got off the train will be back for sure! Can't wait it will change the game!!"
Another viewer penned on the social media platform: "Rail Replacement - I knew it #TheTraitorsUK."
The Traitors airs on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays on BBC One and BBC iPlayer
