Top high protein low fat breakfast recipe eaten by Slimming World fans and Holly Willoughby
Low fat Greek yoghurt is extremely popular among dieters and gym buddies. It's low in calories and high in protein, making it a healthy option to keep hunger at bay without piling on the pounds.
Available in most supermarkets, it couples very well with berries - similarly nutritious and low in fat. The simple combination is a favoured breakfast option for Slimming World fans and forms the base of Holly Willoughby's 'superbreakfast' which helps her keep slim and healthy.
Instagram foodie @Cakeontherun who creates simple healthy recipes has shared her method for it and how she creates it for £1.20 and 25g of protein per portion. Coming in at 188 calories and virtually fat free, she picks up her ingredients from budget supermarket Aldi to keep it as affordable as possible.

She uses Aldi's Brooklea 0% Fat Authentic Greek Yogurt which costs £1.89 for a 500g tub and Aldi's Four Seasons Four Berry Medley costing £2.99 for a 1kg bag. For a cheaper option, you could opt for Brooklea Fat Free Natural Greek Style Yogurt, which is half the price at 85p for a 500g tub, however, it does contain 3g less protein per 100g.
Cakeontherun swears by using frozen berries as they are much cheaper than fresh. She also suggests you could sweeten the angelic dish with a squeeze of honey or maple syrup, and add extra protein with a sprinkling of chopped nuts on top. Holly adds granola to hers to complete her breakfast.
