So Pinterest's trend predictions for 2018 in their annual Pinterest 100 report, in which they forecast the top wellness ideas for the year ahead, comes at the perfect time.

These wellness trends incorporate so much more than diet, including everything to do with mind, body and soul. There are currently more than two billion pins circulating on Pinterest providing a great source of wellness inspiration.

The Pinterest 100 report predicts the top 100 trends across several categories, such as food, home, style, beauty, travel and more.

Here are the top 10 wellness trends that are gaining mainstream momentum and capturing the attention of more than 200 million people on Pinterest each month around the world.

1. Gut health

A healthy gut can boost general health and wellbeing. Finding ways to deal with digestive issues will be even bigger in 2018 (saves for "gut health" +251%).

2. Strength training

Exercise is moving away from size to strength. It's not about hitting a goal weight, but building strength and sculpting your body (saves for "strength training" +415%).

3. Air purifying plants

Being healthy is about more than diet and exercise. Even your houseplants can have an impact on your wellness (saves for "air purifier" and "air purifying plants" +270%).

4. The post-workout

In 2018, one of the biggest wellness trends will be post-workout stretches and healthy post-exercise snacks. They have great benefits worth the extra few minutes (saves for "post workout stretches" +105%).

5. Healthy hair tips
