Tony Awards announce 'no violence' policy prior to 2022 show

The new policy comes on the heels of the Oscars incident in which Will Smith slapped Chis Rock on stage. 'The Hollywood Reporter' obtained a letter sent to potential ticket buyers for the upcoming show. An FAQ section of the letter reportedly stated protocols producers would implement in the event of encountering a violent "perpetrator". "The Tony Awards has a strict no violence policy. In the event of an incident, the perpetrator will be removed from the event immediately." Tony Awards statement, via letter obtained by 'The Hollywood Reporter'.
