Tom Holland is set to be back on our screens *very* soon with his new film Unchartered.

Starring alongside an exciting cast including Mark Wahlberg and You season 3's Tati Gabrielle, we see Tom playing treasure hunter Nathan Drake in Unchartered - with the film based on the video game series of the same name.

Here's everything you need to know about the upcoming release...

What is Unchartered about?

Inspired by the PlayStation video game franchise Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End, the film follows fortune hunter Nathan Drake (played by Tom Holland) as he travels around the world in search of rare (and valuable) treasure.

The film's story will act as a prequel to the narrative of the games, and reveals more details on how other characters (including Mark Wahlberg's Victor Sullivan) came into Nathan's life.

Of course, given the fact that the film is based on a video game, there's tonnes of action to be had, including some intense fight scenes, plus some epic filming locations.

Do we have an Unchartered trailer?

We do! The trailer landed in October, and we can see Tom and co-star Mark making a very loveable duo as they head out on some pretty dangerous looking adventures.

Get ready for some epic action shots...

Is there a release date for Unchartered?

After multiple 2021 release dates which kept being pushed back, Unchartered is now set to be released on 18 February 2022. That means there's not *too* long to wait, so we're hoping the release date stays put this time.

Who's in the Unchartered cast?

There are some pretty big names in this one, including of course Tom Holland, who heads up the cast as fortune hunter Nathan Drake.

He's joined by Mark Wahlberg, who's playing fellow explore Victor Sullivan. However, FYI, Mark was originally cast as Nathan Drake when the film first went into development back in 2010 - so his part in the film has been a long time coming .

Other cast members include Antonio Banderas (whose character name we don't know yet), plus Sophia Taylor Ali as Nathan’s love interest Chloe Frazer.

There's also Tati Gabrielle (who you'll recognise as Marienne Bellamy in season 3 of Netflix's You) playing Braddock.

We can't wait!
