Tom Felton responds to rumours about another Harry Potter film

From Cosmopolitan

  • Harry Potter's Tom Felton aka Draco Malfoy responded to a question about whether The Cursed Child is being made into a film, and if he'd be a part of it.

  • The actor starred in all eight of the Harry Potter films, which spanned 2001 to 2011.

Harry Potter fans are more committed to the franchise than ever. Whether that's through Hogwarts inspired gifts, convincing theories about Voldemort and his horcruxes or planning a trip to see the new Slytherin exhibition at Warner Bros studios, it's safe to say the fandom is alive and well.

Which is probably why we're all so desperate for a sixth Harry Potter film, inspired by JK Rowling's spin-off play, The Cursed Child. But how likely is a follow up to Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows, and would the original cast be keen?

The bad news is there's no sign a movie is definitely happening - and if it were to, Tom Felton aka Draco Malfoy, wouldn't necessarily be keen. Speaking to Red Carpet News TV about whether he'd ever be in another Harry Potter film, Tom commented, "How much you offering? I’m joking.

"I don’t think it will be reprised, to be honest with you. I think it was a wonderful eight chapters, and everything that needed to be done was done."

Fair enough. Speaking of how the Harry Potter cast love to reunite and reminisce about their time on set together, Tom continued, "We're all still very close with each other. Every year we grow, we see the fandom seemingly only rising.

"Most of the fans who approach me now weren't even born when we made the film! So it's great to see it's been past down from generation to generation. But I can speak for the cast when I say we're very grateful for all of the support that's come our way over the last decade."
