Actor and star of the Harry Potter film franchise, Tom Felton, has told fans he's "on the mend" after he was hospitalised following a "medical incident" on a golf course on Thursday.

Taking to Instagram after his "scary" collapse while taking part in a charity golf tournament, Tom said:

"I just wanted to say a huge thank you for all the lovely well wishes as of recent. Bit of a scary episode, really, but on the mend. People have been taking really good care of me, so thank you very much to anyone who's sent messages of 'get well soon.' I am on the mend, officially."

Tom, who turned 34 on Wednesday, is best known for playing Draco Malfoy in the Potter movies and was pictured looking unwell but conscious as he carried off a Wisconsin golf course on a cart.

In a statement at the time, the Professional Golfers' Association of America said: "In today's Ryder Cup Celebrity Match, actor and musician Tom Felton experienced a medical incident on the course while participating for Europe. He was transported to a local hospital for treatment. No further details are available."

Tom's a keen golfer and was representing Europe in the tournament alongside former professional ice hockey player Teemu Selanne, from Finland.

It's great to hear Tom is feeling better, we're sending him our best wishes.
