Tom Daley crochets stunning shorts for Masked Singer appearance
Tom Daley has impressed again with his crochet skills, this time presenting them on prime time TV, during his stint as a guest judge on The Masked Singer.
After being introduced as a "national hero" on the popular celebrity singing show, Tom gave the rainbow coloured shorts to presenter Joel Dommett – who was so delighted he pulled them on immediately.
Presenting the hot pants, on what was superhero week, Tom said: "Every superhero needs something to go over the top of their outfit. So I've made you some of your very own crochet shorts."
Brightly striped and made with treble crochet stitch, Joel was thrilled with them. He quipped: "I'm going to call myself The Dark Knit." Then later, commenting on Tom's Instagram post of the clip, he added: "I'll cherish them FOREVER!"
The audience, and Tom's fellow judges, also loved them. "I'm not joking, they're really hot" Davina McCall exclaimed.
On spin-off show, The After Mask, Tom also revealed he prefers knitting to crochet in an answer to a quick fire round of questions.
We love all of Tom's creations, knitted and crocheted. This month, he teased some exciting new knitting projects for 2025 and who can forget his crochet croissant bag? He has also, more recently, taken up sewing, surprising husband Lance with this sweet hoodie.
