While Timothée Chalamet's Oscars outfit sadly didn't win any awards judging by some of the savage Twitter comments, the actor did win the 2020 Oscar for Best Photobomb after this sweet moment with Margot Robbie on the red carpet.

The two actors were separately posing for pictures when Timothée strolled over to Margot and got in her shot, and The Once Upon A Time In Hollywood star had the cutest response when she realised it was him.

Check it out here:

This person accurately summed up what we were all thinking watching that cute clip:

Viewers at home were loving the sweet moment, with one tweeting: "I need a movie with Timothee and Margot NOW #Oscars," while another wrote, "The duo we didn’t know we needed but now we can’t live without."

"Timothee and Margot are the cutest duo #oscars," commented a third.

The photobomb wasn't the only thing that had Twitter buzzing on Sunday - Timothée's outfit quickly became a hot topic on social media.

Timothée, who was presenting on the night, is no stranger to breaking the red carpet dress code, and this year's Oscars was no different. Deciding against a tux, The Little Women actor opted for a more casual navy blue satin two-piece by Stella McCartney.

However, the look massively divided fans, with one saying it looked like he was "channeling a gas station attendant from the fifties who forgot to wear a matching cap." Ouch.

While a second tweeted, "Confounded and mesmerized by Timothee Chalamet's glamorous track suit. #Oscars."

We, um, definitely don't hate it?
