Video released by the Municipality of Amsterdam shows the construction of the underwater Stationsplein bicycle parking facility in front of the city’s central station.

The city said water had to be pumped from the Open Havenfront to construct the facility, which is connected to Amsterdam Central Station and can hold 7,000 bikes.

A second new facility at the station was due to open in February, to hold 4,000 bikes.
