Tilly Ramsay is preparing to run her first London Marathon - and she’s hoping to beat her dad Gordon’s time.

However, the 21-year-old admits that the chances of that are unlikely - the telly chef has already completed the iconic running race fifteen times.

She said: ‘I’ve got the London Marathon coming up in April 2023. My dream would be to beat dad’s time, but he’s done over 15 of them, so I highly doubt that’s going to happen.

‘I’m looking forward to putting my head down, getting into the training zone and focusing on that.

‘It’s my first one. My siblings did it when they turned 18 for Great Ormond Street, a charity that’s very close to all of us, and we love raising support and money for them. It’s my turn to do it, and I want to raise as much money as possible and I can’t wait.’

Tilly was paired with pro-dancer Nikita Kuzmin on the 2021 series of Strictly Come Dancing, with the pair getting eliminated on the tenth week.

The experience not only improved her dancing, but also helped her grow in confidence. She reflected: ‘Being on Strictly was the best time of my life and I think anyone who does it will find things out about themselves. It's terrifying. It's so scary, and you’re so vulnerable, but it's just one of the best things I've ever done.’

After the show she returned to her university studies, but took some time off to film Gordon Ramsay: Uncharted Showdown with her dad.

The episode, which airs on November 23, sees the father-daughter duo having a cook-off in Costa Rica, and their friendly rivalry is front and centre.

Tilly said: ‘We can be competitive over the smallest things. I think it's because we're so similar and we both love winning so much that it's so super natural to have that against each other - and it does cause for good fun. Whenever we have a little competition against each other it always gets interesting. So it's always a laugh with him.’

Gordon Ramsay: Uncharted Showdown airs on National Geographic, Wednesdays at 8pm.
