This TikTok Hack For Putting Vinegar On Your Fish And Chips Is A Game Changer

·1-min read

TikTok has really changed how we cook/eat/prepare food. That’s right – the social media platform isn’t just a place for people that are slightly too old to perform dance routines…

Seriously, this year has brought us so many incredible cooking hacks, including Emily Mariko’s hack for reheating rice with an ice cube, this way of making the best cheese on toast, and this simple technique for keeping chilled food fresh no matter what.

But the TikTok hack we’re bringing you today is this super-simple one that’s to do with good old-fashioned fish and chips.

When you order fish and chips from your local chip shop, or make them at home, you have tons of vinegar on them don’t you? Of course you do. But have you noticed that when you put vinegar on your portion using a traditional vinegar bottle, some parts of your battered cod or battered sausage or chips are completely soaked in vinegar and other parts haven’t seen a lick of the stuff? Well, have you ever thought of putting your vinegar in a spray bottle for even coverage? Because this guy has!

TikTok user @onlyscrans shared a video, which shows him spraying two MASSIVE portions of fish and chips (with bread and butter, sausage, curry sauce, gravy and Stella Artois on the side. Natch) with malt vinegar from a spray bottle – the type you’d use to water indoor plants or put homemade cleaning products in. And every single chip gets a perfect spritz of vinegar.

Genius.

Anyone else having fish and chips for their tea tonight now?
