TikTok cleaning trick to make your entire home smell amazing with one easy method
In recent years, cleaning products have become quite expensive due to the cost-of-living crisis. However, one TikTok user has come up with a budget-friendly, effective homemade solution that will leave your home smelling amazing.
Choosing between the various brands of cleaning products in supermarkets can be challenging, as prices often differ, and it’s nearly impossible to understand how two products compare without examining the fine print on the labels.
Many of us likely choose cleaning products based on whichever smells best or is most affordable, especially as we all look to save money during the cost-of-living crisis, reports the Mirror.

Did you know you can make a simple all-purpose cleaner at home using only two ingredients?
TikTok user @thrive with Candice has posted a video revealing that “literally all you need” to make an all-purpose cleaner are orange peels and white vinegar.
"Making your own all-purpose cleaners will save you a tonne of money” she comments.
Candice notes there is nothing simpler than this spray, and claims anyone can do it.
She encouraged people to "just keep your orange peel", but lemon and lime peels work too.
The method is:
Place the citrus peels into a large mason jar.
Fill the jar with white vinegar.
Let the mixture sit in a cool, dry place for about two to three days.
Pour the infused vinegar halfway into a spray bottle.
Top up the bottle with water—and that's it!
She explains that “the longer you let it sit the more the white vinegar is going to be infused with the nice aromas.”
Candice also noted that it works on "grease and grime buildup" and can be used on various surfaces throughout the home.
One commenter wrote: "I've also done this with pine needles, and it smelled better than pine sol!"
"I use vinegar mixed with water and few drops of lemon or lemon essential oil", another penned.
A TikTok cleaning fan commented: "I've seen other videos say leave it for weeks or a month, so it's refreshing to see you say 2-3 days (I'm impatient)".
In response to a question about the potential "vinegar smell," Candice replied: "Yes a little bit but much less than without the infused peels! I would leave the mixture sit in your cabinet longer to mask even more the vinegar smell".
