This Gym Will Punish You For Not Losing Weight

Remember that PE teacher who’d yell at you if you dropped the ball in rounders? You thought you’d never see him again, right?

Well, now’s your chance to be reunited with some of that same soul-crushing ‘tough love’.

A new gym opening in London next month is going to give users a schooling in fitness and will even punish them with suspension if they don’t meet their goals.

FE Fitness, named after the symbol for iron in the periodic table, will be dishing out science-based goals to help gym-goers reach their potential.

The ‘headteacher’ of this fitness school is Justin Maguire, who’s certainly not impressed by people doing a ten minute stint on the treadmill while watching the music channel (soz).

“For those who are unable to commit to a minimal attendance of the challenge there will be a suspension to their membership – which will encourage them to stay on track,” he tells the Metro.

“FE wants to create change in those who are committed toward greater health and composition. We are not about overwhelming those who can not truly commit to the cause.

“For those who are imposed with a suspension there will be an opportunity to rejoin the challenge when all aspects of commitment can be managed.”

But the gym’s team don’t believe in starving yourself and working to the point of burnout. The emphasis is on enjoying food and exercise and getting the best from your body.

FE Fitness opens in East London on 26 September, giving you plenty of time to psych yourself up - it sounds like you’ll need it.
