This Grandma Is More Badass Than You’ll Ever Be

It’s hard to describe Baddie Winkle. You could say she’s 88-year-old grandma, which is true, but that certainly doesn’t define her.
With a huge 2.1 million followers on Instagram, Baddie is known for her amazing brightly-coloured outfits and edgy-as lifestyle, and is known to chill with big-name celebrities such as the Kardashians and Miley Cyrus.

Having just celebrated her 88th birthday, she has now become something of a fashion icon.

With her offensive slogan t-shirts, florescent-died hair and cannabis-print swimsuits, we can totally see why.
Her slang is even more 2016 than ours, too, whether she’s “praying for the basics” or being “peachy af”.

Her originality hasn’t gone unnoticed, and in March she was ranked one of the 30 most influential people on the internet by TIME.
She’s said that her love for eccentric clothing first came from coping with her husband and son’s passing away. So screw traditional coping mechanisms - we can’t think of a better way to embrace life to the full.

She has, however, given hints that her health isn’t always perfect. In one caption she said:
“SOOOO sorry (sic) I haven’t been posting that much lately :( I recently found out I have arthritis and it was killin me lol BUT I FEEL BOMB AGAIN AND I’M BACK!!!”
In other words, Baddie is still very much in business.
