Scientists have discovered what they describe as a ‘golden trio’ of sexual techniques – which could help straight women achieve orgasm.

The researchers say that 95% of straight men achieve ‘usually or always’ achieve orgasm during sexual encounters – but just 65% of women do.

The best way to even out the odds, as it were, is a combination of deep kissing and manual genital stimulation or oral sex as well as vaginal intercourse, according to the study published in Archives of Sexual Behavior.

The find is based on interviews with 52,000 people aged between 18 and 65 who are in relationships, according to i News.

The researchers found that there’s a big ‘orgasm gap’ between straight women and lesbian women – of whom 86% ‘usually or always’ achieve orgasm, similar to the 89% figure for gay men.

The researchers found that women who orgasmed more frequently were likely to receive oral sex, and ask for ‘what they want’ in bed.

They were also more likely to be experimental in bed, wear sexy lingerie and try anal stimulation – as well as expressing love for a partner during sex.

Lead author David Frederick said, ‘The orgasm gaps between men and heterosexual women were well known prior to this study.

‘The gaps between lesbian women and heterosexual women, however, were more speculative or based on small samples of lesbian women This study highlights much more precisely that there are multiple orgasm gaps.’
