After lapping up season 2 of Emily in Paris, fans were full of questions about whether Lily Collins would make a Parisian return. Seriously, is there going to be a third series of Emily in Paris? Here's what we know so far, from release date to cast and trailer!

Has Emily In Paris season 3 been confirmed?

As of 10 January 2022, yes! The official Emily in Paris Instagram account revealed: "Say 'bonjour' to 3 & 4! πŸ’‹ EMILY IS OFFICIALLY RETURNING FOR TWO MORE SEASONS!" And, it didn't take long until the show's cast reacted to the happy news, taking to the comments section to share their excitement.

"πŸ™ŒπŸ™ŒπŸ™ŒπŸ™ŒπŸ™Œ" commented Camille Razat, who plays Emily's frenemy Camille on the show. "Oui ouiiiiii wheeeee!!!!! ❀️" added Ashley Park, while star of the series Lily Collins put: "πŸ™ŒπŸ”₯πŸ™ŒπŸ”₯πŸ™Œ yessssss!!!!!"

Back in August 2021, Lily Collins herself dropped a big hint about another series, when she shared behind the scenes pictures on Instagram of the cast filming series 2 with the caption 'until the next time...' She wrote in full:

"Au revoir, Paris! I feel so lucky to have spent these last few months in this beautiful city. I’m leaving here filled with so many amazing memories, special moments with my family, endless appreciation to our incredible dedicated and talented crew, and another season officially wrapped! Very excited to share it with you all soon. We’re heading home, but keeping a little piece of us here until the next time…"

Netflix just released some season 3 snaps

OK, don't panic, but Netflix's official IG account just posted not one - but *ten* new snaps from season 3. Amongst the carousel, (which of course features some next-level outfits from Emily and the rest of the cast) it looks as though most of the OG gang are back for round 3, and we are so here for it.

Plus, looking at the composition of some of the snaps, for example, Emily, Mindy, and Camille sat together laughing, can we predict that Em and Cam are friends again this series? Fingers crossed! Not to mention Emily and Alfie looking pretty cosy in one of the images, too. Eek!

What will happen in Emily In Paris season 3?

The season finale of Emily In Paris 2 left Emily with lots of big decisions to make. First off, will she work her way up at Savoir and the Gilbert Group under her Chicago boss Madeline to *finally* get that promotion, or will she join Sylvie, Luc and Julien's new agency in Paris?

According to Darren Star, season 3 will focus on just that - what does Emily want her future to look like? "She has reasons to pick a number of doors at the end of season two," he told TV Line. "And our challenge is deciding which of those doors she's going to choose and why."

"When you live in a foreign country, one of the questions is, where's your heart?" he added. "Is it the place you came from, or the place you are at the moment? Emily is going to be struggling with that as well."

Also, now that Emily knows that Gabriel and Camille are living together and back on, will she try a long-distance relationship with Alfie? But by the looks of the pics that were just released, it looks as though the pair are still very much amoureuse.

Who will star in Emily In Paris season 3?

Nothing has been officially confirmed in writing, but looking at the latest pictures, we know that pretty much all of the main cast will be returning. That's Lily Collins reprising the role of Emily alongside Ashley Parks as Mindy, Camille Razat as Camille, Lucas Bravo as Gabriel and Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu as Sylvie. Plus, Samuel Arnold as Julien and Bruno Gouery as Luc as well as Lucien Laviscount as Alfie. And depending on which way Emily's decisions go, Kate Walsh could also come back as Madeline.

The second series also introduced new characters, so there's hope for fresh faces in season three.

When will Emily In Paris season 3 be released?

So far, we haven't had much of an indication from Netflix. Season one was released in October 2020, while covid-related production delays meant season two was released in December 2021. On a similar timeline, we could assume season three will drop in late-2022, or maybe earlier 2023.
