There's a Posh Royal-Adjacent Wedding Coming Up That Could Reunite Prince Harry and Prince William
Prince William and Prince Harry still don't appear to be on speaking terms due to their years-long feud—but apparently they could find themselves awkwardly running into each other at an upcoming super-posh wedding.
According to The Express, Harry and William's mutual friend, Hugh Grosvenor, the 7th Duke of Westminster, has just sent out invites to his summer wedding—set to take place on June 7 at Chester Cathedral.
Obviously Prince William's schedule is very much dependent on Kate Middleton's health at the moment, but The Express notes that Hugh happens to be Prince George's godfather—meaning there's a fair chance George could be a page at the wedding. Meanwhile, Prince Harry is also close to Hugh, who the Daily Mail's sources say is "staying neutral," and "maintaining a good relationship" with both brothers.
Prince Harry is also expected back in the United Kingdom prior to the wedding in May for the 10-year anniversary of the Invictus Games, but friends of the Prince and Princess of Wales tell the Daily Beast that the couple have no interest in seeing him.
“Catherine and William have been very clear they want peace and quiet for them and the kids—a visit from Harry, with all the drama that would bring, would be the opposite of that,” one friend tells the Daily Beast, while another adds “They have come to terms with the estrangement from Harry, and are content to let sleeping dogs lie.”
