The top destination in the world for Brits according to Tripadvisor
You never forget an incredible holiday.
And whatever it is that you look for in a trip; beaches, bars or culture, we all have different ideas of what makes the perfect destination.
Though according to Tripadvisor, there’s one location that tops the rest among us Brits.
If you’re someone that dreams of blue seas and endless beaches while we’re back here on our rainy little island, it won’t come as a surprise.
It’s Bali, Indonesia.
Besides its culture, history and architecture, it’s Bali’s white beaches, jungles and chilled out atmosphere that made it our nation’s favourite.
Second in Tripadvisor UK’s Travellers’ Choice Destinations awards, which identifies 10 key locations that its users have top-rated, was a little closer to home – London, while European spots Paris and Rome came in third and fourth.
Further afield was New York City in the US at fifth place, followed by Crete in Greece, Barcelona in Spain and Siem Reap, Cambodia.
Overall, we seem to be a big fan of close-by countries here in Europe, and besides wanting to visit the Big Apple, have a hankering for South East Asia too.
