Unless you’ve already done it, it’s hard to imagine how nervous you’d feel that moment before you propose.

And nervous is certainly how you’d describe Nick, a man from Texas, before he dropped down on one knee for his girlfriend Sarah.

The pair – who were already life-long friends – were visiting a Chick-fil-A at South Mopac restaurant in Austin, Texas, when Nick decided to pop the question.

And photos of the pair, who both have Down’s syndrome, during the big moment and cuddling happily afterwards have gone viral since being posted on the restaurant’s Facebook page.

You can see the moment he puts the ring on the very happy Sarah’s finger as onlookers film or take photos on their phones.

“They have known each other since they were three years old,” the restaurant explained.

“And tonight, he built up the courage to ask for her hand in marriage. How sweet is that.”

And may it be a happy marriage indeed.
