It’s not too often that you see a little kid walk the red carpet — not to mention totally own it. At Sunday night’s 68th Primetime Emmy Awards, one little boy made his red carpet debut wearing none other than a red, superhero cape.
Actor Jeremy Maguire, 5, who plays Jay and Gloria’s son Joe Pritchett on the hit show Modern Family, showed up to walk the red carpet for the Emmys in a fashionable suit with a red velvet cape attached. And he totally played the part:

Adorable, right? Maguire and his family kept his cape under wraps until its unveiling on the red carpet, even posting a photo on his Instagram (which is run by Jeremy’s parents) of this little boy in a car seat on the way to the Emmys sans cape:

Not only do child actors often skip award shows like this one, the ones who do attend typically wear a standard suit, so Jeremy’s outfit add-on is a pleasant reminder that he is, indeed, still a kid.

Modern Family is nominated for Outstanding Casting for a Comedy Series and for Outstanding Comedy Series as well. Best of luck to Jeremy and the rest of the cast!
