The empowering Dior top that's fast become a wardrobe must-have
Each season, there’s at least one designer item that a huge array of celebrities are spotted wearing and fashion fans globally clamber to own. Last season, it was *that* dinosaur knitted Coach jumper, spotted on everyone from Winona Ryder to Selena Gomez, Kate Moss, Julia Roberts and Zoe Kravitz.
This season, the must-have fashion buy has a little panache more to it.

We’re referring to Dior’s ‘We should be feminists’ top, of course. The white t-shirt emblazoned with writer Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie’s empowering statement, is the brain child of Maria Grazia Chiuri – the French fashion house’s first female artistic director of women’s collections.
The designer actually crafted the top last year and debuted it during the SS17 show in September (unsurprisingly, it was the most Instagrammed look of the collection), but it’s in the last few weeks that it’s become so photographed and ingrained in pop culture – largely thanks to Natalie Portman wearing it over her blossoming baby bump while delivering her inspiring speech at the women’s march in Washington on Saturday.
Next, Rihanna uploaded a photo of herself in the tee to Instagram, captioning the pic: “I heart Dior”.

Over in Paris, at Dior’s couture show on Monday, a number of attendees donned the piece – including Italian fashion blogger Chiara Ferragni (of The Blonde Salad fame).
And how could we forget the tee’s magazine debut, worn by Jennifer Lawrence on the cover of Harper’s Bazaar Germany.
We have a feeling this is only the start of the Dio(R)evolution.

Sadly, the coveted t-shirt isn’t available to buy yet, but the whole SS17 ready-to-wear collection will be available to shop at the end of February – so it’s worth bookmarking the site.
