Watch: Tess Daly reveals she’s struggling to sleep while husband Vernon is in I’m A Celeb
TV presenter Kay, 46, has spent the last three weeks camped out in a castle in north Wales for the ITV reality show, enduring gruesome trials to win food.
Strictly Come Dancing host Daly, 51, who married Kay in 2003, told Lorraine: “Honestly, I have barely slept. I don’t think I have slept more than five or six hours since he has been in there...”
She added: “It feels like he has been away forever. I think about him every moment of every day and I watch him every night.
“He is doing brilliantly and it’s lovely watching him but it’s nerve-wracking, it really is. I worry about him being cold, about him not eating…”
Daly also revealed she had dreamt she was taking part in an I’m A Celebrity trial with her Strictly co-host Claudia Winkleman.
She said: “It involved snakes and being underground and it was terrifying.”
Daly and Kay – who have two daughters, Phoebe, 16, and Amber, 11 – renewed their vows in 2015 in a surprise ceremony in France, organised by Kay.
Speaking about it on I’m A Celebrity, he revealed: “I gave her a card and it said, ‘Congratulations on your second wedding day’ and I said, ‘We’re going to renew our vows.’
“We went to reception and her mum, my parents, the kids and my brother were waiting and she was like, ‘Oh my God!’ We had such a lovely day.”
The couple worked to save their marriage after Kay confessed in 2010 to sending inappropriate messages to glamour model Rhian Sugden and four other women.
