Tesco Announces The Most Popular Meal Deal Of 2022Nathan Stirk

Have you ever wanted to know how much money you've spent on emergency chocolate biscuits in your local Tesco Express? Well, with Tesco's new year-in-review tool you absolutely can.

This week Tesco has launched Clubcard Unpacked, a sort of Spotify Wrapped inspired tool to show you quite how deranged your late-night/lunch break/afternoon treat shopping habits are.

The new tool gives Clubcard members a personalised look back on their spending habits, and shows how much you've saved over the course of the past year (and we all know that it's probably A LOT as the Tesco Clubcard deals are brill).

The other major news about Clubcard Unpacked is that it's revealed the UK's favourite meal deal, and it's not quite what we expected.

Drum roll please... the UK's most-bought meal deal in 2022 was...

A Sausage, Bacon & Egg Triple Sandwich, McCoy’s Flame Grilled Steak Crisps and a 500ml Coca-Cola. Blimey that's meaty.

The other chart-topping meal deal choices were the Tesco Chicken Bacon and Stuffing Sandwich and Tesco Chicken Club Sandwich as mains, Walkers Cheese & Onion Crisps and Fridge Raiders Southern Style Chicken Bites as snacks, and the Strawberry Ufit High Protein Milkshake and Lucozade Energy Orange as drinks.

Members can also find out their top three most shopped items, their own favourite meal deal combo, favourite aisle (lol), and their most-visited store.

People have been sharing their results online already and there are some really wacky top three combos:

You'll need the Tesco app to get hold of your Clubcard Unpacked (and a Clubcard obvs), as the new tool is slowly being released to Clubcard members this week. You should be able to find it under the Clubcard tab!

You'll also be able to see how many points you've earned over the course of the year, which you can spend on anything from a meal at Pizza Express to watching a film at Cineworld (VIP experience, anyone?).
