Playa de las Américas is the tourists’ nightlife capital of the island, with cabaret bars, karaoke and clubs open every night of the week. “The Patch” is where you will find rows of bars, each providing nightly live music. The infamous Veronicas and Starco is still a magnet for young clubbers. If you want to party with the locals, head north.

Papagayo Beach Club

Papagayo, South Tenerife’s most chic beachfront party venue, is said to be a magnet for visiting celebrities. It is ideal for a daytime chill-out, sunset cocktails or an evening meal that morphs into a party. On Saturdays and party nights, DJs pump out techno, funky tech and house to a packed dance floor.

Monkey Beach Club 

Overlooking Playa Troya, a well established and popular venue for a beach side lunch and  a sundowner. On Sunday party nights a predominantly young crowd take to the strobe-lit dance floor.

Kaluna Beach Club

Classy daytime playground of the tan-and-pose set where DJs provide chill out sounds to accompany cocktails and Kaluna burgers around the heated infinity pool.

St. Eugen's

A lively, family-friendly bar with a small dance floor where singers use backing tracks to provide the nightly entertainment. The atmosphere is fun, the dance floor is packed and the bar service is efficient.

Bull's Head

Solid rock performances from resident band Vagabonds keep visitors to this British pub style bar dancing the night away. Featuring covers of songs by Led Zeppelin to Kings of Leon, young and ageing air guitarists will be in their element here.

Dubliner

Route 66

Good-quality live bands play every night of the week and there is an efficient table service. Sessions on Sundays, Tuesdays and Thursdays feature Old Dogs New Tricks, a high-energy rock duo with an extensive repertoire of covers and a deserved reputation for excellence.
