Teen dies in front of 50 classmates after 'being bullied at school'

WARNING: DISTRESSING CONTENT: More than 50 classmates watched on as a train hit and killed Sam Connor, 14, who had reportedly been bullied at school.

The teenager handed his school bag and phone to his peers moments before the tragic incident at Chertsey station, in Surrey, England, The Sun reports.

He was hit by a train approaching the station before police were called to remove students and adults from the distressing scene.

A friend of Sam said he was being bullied and would sit on his own during school breaks, according to The Sun.

The teen, who was a member of the local breakdancing club, was described as "bright and popular" by friends.

A breakdancing friend of Sam’s shared a heartbreaking tribute in a Facebook post.

"Cannot not even think of an emotion to describe how I am right now apart from just heartbroken. No parent should ever have to bury their own child. The child should always bury the parents,” they wrote.

Salesian School where he was a student said it would be hosting several assemblies for students to address the tragedy and help them come to terms with it.

Flowers have been placed at the entrance to the train station in a growing makeshift memorial site.

The first wife of Sam’s dad, Deborah Barrett, described the Year 9 student as “a sensitive little soul” with a keen sense of humour.

He had a total of five half and full siblings, including Ms Barrett’s three daughters - one of who saw the incident happen.
