Taylor Swift just shaded Kimye her new music video
Taylor Swift has released the music video for “The Man” which sees her literally transform into an alpha male.
She throws major shade at men — like Kanye West and Scooter Braun — who have wronged her.
Dropping just months after Taylor's feud with ex-label boss Scooter Braun over the rights to the masters of her back catalogue, 'The Man' is a feminist anthem about the double standards that women face in both the music industry and media.
Donning some pretty convincing prosthetics for the music video (we can't be the only ones who didn't realise it was Taylor in drag?), the 30-year-old singer is transformed into 'Tyler Swift', a man spreading CEO who likes to party with bikini-clad models on yachts and throw temper tantrums on the tennis court.
And while it's pretty clear that Taylor has used the music video to throw major shade at Scooter, some have pointed out that her former manager is not the only one that Taylor takes a shot at in her directorial debut.

Fans are convinced that Taylor *may* have subtly shaded ongoing nemesis Kanye West and his wife Kim Kardashian in the music video too.
Theories first started rolling in when Taylor took to social media three days ago to tease the new song.
"There are 19 hands in the hallway ... but only 2 days until The Man Music Video," Swift wrote alongside a photo which shows a bunch of colourful arms reaching out into a white hallway framed by pillars and vaulted ceilings.
Twitter users were quick to point out just how similar the hallway looks to Kanye and Kim's infamously minimalist Los Angeles home.

When we see the Kimye-esque hallway in the music video, it's after the Man wakes up beside a naked woman who looks a whole lot like Kim. Taylor/Tyler then triumphantly walks down the hallway, receiving high-fives from the disembodied hands as he goes.
While this could just be about the double standards of how men and women are treated after a one-night stand, the resemblance to Kim K seems is uncanny AND let's not forget that Kanye used a naked Taylor lookalike in his 2016 music video for 'Famous'. Could Taylor be using this as an opportunity to get her own back at team Kimye?

Oh, and those 19 hands? Well, Swift was 19 years old when the infamous 'I'mma let you finish' moment between Taylor and Kanye at the VMAs went down. As we learned in her Netflix documentary Miss Americana, Taylor pinpoints that incident to a lot of the struggles she faced in the industry around trying to prove herself and be taken seriously. Since "The Man" is all about double standards Taylor says she's faced, it would make a lot of sense.
Or, it could just be a coincidence *shrugs*.
