The pop star took to the stage at the Prudential Center in New Jersey to accept her third and final prize of the night for All Too Well: The Short Film and used her speech to reveal that her next album will be released on 21 October. At the end of her speech, she announced: , "I had sort of made up my mind that if you were going to be this generous and give us this, I thought it might be a fun moment to tell you that my brand new album comes out October 21st. And I will tell you more at midnight."
