You can’t beat a gin and tonic, can you? WRONG.

(Don't @ me)

How about a gin cocktail that’s been personalised exactly to suit your senses? That’s pretty cool, eh?

Tanqueray gin is opening pop-up bar, Tanqueray Townhouse, which will feature such a thing. The gin brand will take over London's Bloomsbury House between 6 and 14 December, and there’s a whole host of fun gin-based things to do.

The townhouse has five rooms, including an elegant lounge bar and even a secret bar (here’s hoping you can actually find it…). This is where bar tenders will analyse your senses to create a personalised drink. Only a handful of lucky guests will be invited to this room via a ringing telephone. They will then be given a range of scented vials of Tanqueray No. Ten ingredients. Gin experts will then assess the participant’s reactions to create a unique cocktail based on the results.

Blimey.

If you like your drinks a little less intrusive, why not swing by the lounge bar? This is where you can get your hands on classic G&Ts and gin cocktails, including new recipes created by mixologist Jack Sotti. Does a Townhouse Negroni or a Bloomsbury Sour sound up your street?

There’s also a gifting room, which has a calligrapher’s table where you can create customised labels, wax bottle seals, and your own wrapping paper. This is the only bit of the experience that you don’t need a ticket for.

If you fancy all the rest of it, tickets cost £12 and include two cocktails.
