Tamzin Outhwaite says her daughters haven't seen their dad Tom Ellis for more than six months.
The couple, who share 12-year-old Florence and eight-year-old Marnie, have been co-parenting since they split in 2014, and the EastEnders actress shared her delight over the Covid-19 restrictions being eased in the U.K. as it meant there would be a long-awaited family reunion.
"From tomorrow we can see friends outside!!! But for the happiness of my kids, I am most excited that they get to see their Dad soon, who they haven’t seen since last August. They are bursting with excitement & counting down the days," Tamzin wrote on Twitter.
Tom, who stars in the hit U.S. TV show Lucifer, lives in Los Angeles with his wife Meaghan Oppenheimer.
Restrictions in the U.K. are being relaxed as part of Prime Minister Boris Johnson's roadmap out of the Covid-19 lockdown, and from 29 March, six people from different households, or two households with an unlimited number of people, can meet and socialise outside or in private gardens.
The couple called it quits in 2014 after Tom reportedly confessed to an extra-marital affair with Australian actress Emilie de Ravin.
Tamzin, who wed Tom in 2006, said in an interview with Essentials magazine alluded to more details of the shock split back in 2015.
"I wouldn't not be with my husband over a one-night stand is all I'll say," she shared.
