Tamzin Outhwaite has found love with a man 21 years her junior but she's said she didn't intend for it to turn into a serious relationship.

The former EastEnders actor now lives with cameraman Tom Child after first meeting three years ago. They shares the home with Outhwaite’s two daughters, Flo, 12, and Marnie, eight, from her marriage to ex-husband Tom Ellis.

“It was meant to just be a fling. Then it went from being a fling to, ‘I don’t want to be away from you’," the 49-year-old told The Mirror.

“For one of the first times in my life I’m living in the moment and not worrying about what’s going to happen, which is lovely."

Outhwaite added that Child "knows" her daughters come first as she went on: "He’s not desperate for children right now, so we’re both having a lovely time."

The pair have also collaborated professionally as they worked together for online lockdown series Dun Breedin' with Child directing Outhwaite while filming in their home.

Outhwaite and Ellis split in 2013, with their divorce granted on the grounds of adultery in April 2014.

It was reported that Ellis had a brief fling while filming TV movie Gothica in the US in 2013.
