It’s pretty clear to see that Tamara Ecclestone has been loving every second of motherhood. Since her daughter Sofia ‘Fifi’ arrived over two years ago, the Formula 1 heiress has rarely been seen without her mini-me and her Instagram feed is littered with shots of the cute tot. But her decision to share brelfies of her breastfeeding her daughter hasn’t come without controversy with some accusing the mum-of-one of attention seeking.

And it’s breastfeeding that is causing another stir for the 32-year-old, as she revealed in a recent interview that she has no plans to stop breastfeeding her little one and could carry on until Fifi reaches four, and maybe even older.

Speaking to the Sun’s Fabulous magazine this weekend about her plans to continue breastfeeding her daughter, who turns three in March, Tamara says she finds the uproar surrounding the issue “bizarre”.

“Yes, Sophia is two-and-a-half and yes, a lot of people wouldn’t breastfeed now. But it’s so comforting for her and she loves it,” the socialite, who is married to former trader Jay Rutland, 35, explained.

She went on to joke that her little one might never tire of breastfeeding and she would be left with “saggy'” boobs. When asked what she’ll do if Sophia wants to keep breastfeeding when she reaches the age of four, she replied: “We’ll cross that bridge when it comes to it, but for now she’s my baby. You’re doing something that is so amazing for your child, but it can cause such hostility and anger.“

The daughter of F1 boss Bernie Ecclestone has previously hit back at trolls who suggested she should nurse her daughter in private by claiming she sees nothing wrong with normalising breastfeeding.

Taking to her Instagram to share a candid shot of her breastfeeding her daughter she hit back at other mums who shame her about her decision about how to feed her daughter.

“There is something very wrong with women that tear each other down instead of building each other up especially when it comes to something as important a subject as breastfeeding,” she wrote in the accompanying caption.

“We should all be encouraging those that do want to breast feed and making it easier for them. I personally am very proud of the fact that I feed my two year old daughter on demand and will do so for as long as she wants to, its a decision only she can make when she is ready to wean. In the mean time I feel very comfortable with the fact that I am meeting all her needs and she is a very secure little girl as a result.”

Tamara went on to say that she thinks we need to be more supportive of others’ parenting decisions.

“We should all raise our children how we feel as mothers is best whether that be to breast feed bottle feed co sleep put your baby in a cot.”

She also hit back at accusations that by sharing shots of her breastfeeding her daughter she is in some way attention seeking.

“Not sure what I am meant to be showing off its certainly not my less than perfect boobs after two year of breastfeeding and going strong,” she wrote.
