This year has been a busy one for the Royal Family Prince Harry and Meghan Markle welcomed baby Archie, Prince Louis turned 1 and their royal highnesses toured the UK and the world.
It’s been a good year for fashion. Catherine Zeta-Jones kick-started the best dressed celebrities list back in January with the killer, emerald green Elie Saab worn to the Golden Globes. The 91st Academy Awards - that’s the Oscars, to you and I - followed swiftly after in February, serving up numerous sartorial wins. British actor Gemma Chan made a style statement in a hot pink, supersized Valentino number. At the BAFTAs in May, it was the fuchsia gown worn by ‘Killing Eve’ star Jodie Comer that we couldn’t take our eyes off. A Stella McCartney number, it was a minimalist design featuring an asymmetric neckline and a cape on one shoulder. Later in the year, ‘The Greatest Showman’ actor Zendaya wowed at the Emmys in a stunning, semi-sheer look by US designer Vera Wang. Catherine Zeta-Jones, the only A-lister to appear in our annual best dressed list twice, also hit a style high note in a hot pink Georges Hobeika gown. Jennifer Lopez, star of 2019’s hit film ‘Hustlers’, wowed at the annual Governors Awards in October in a gold, strapless satin gown by Reem Acra. The 50-year-old teamed the gown with a chic updo and a black, box clutch. Another of the event’s attendees, Dakota Johnson, was equally chic in a co-ord: a white, bralette paired with a full, high-waisted skirt.
The first lady shared a video of the festive makeover on her official Twitter and Instagram accounts earlier today.
