From Gwyneth Paltrow's crop top to Cara Delevingne's buzzcut and mini dress combo, here's this week's best and worst dressed celebs.
Scarlett Johansson, Charlize Theron and Cara Delevingne have been knocking it out of the park style-wise this week with each and every one choosing stand-out looks.
The stars have been pushing fashion boundaries this week – in a good way, of course. If it wasn’t Katy Perry teaming her fierce new cut with the most feminine of dresses, it was Elizabeth Banks wearing a straight-off-the-catwalk look.
This season’s Paris Fashion Week was a hotbed of style with Emily Ratajkowski and Game of Thrones actress Sophie Turner knocking it out of the park.
This week has been a whirlwind in the land of Hollywood. The Oscars (and various parties) played host to some gorgeous couture creations while Emma Watson has been embarking on an eco-friendly – yet incredibly stylish – Beauty and the Beast tour.
With Emma Watson’s Beauty and the Beast press tour well underway, the actresses commitment to sustainable fashion has been dominating headlines this week. The Brit Awards too saw some noteworthy gowns from the likes of Rita Ora and Ellie Goulding while pre-Oscars parties have featured a few stand-out looks from Hollywood’s finest. What a whirlwind week in the world of red carpets. We had the Grammys, BAFTAs and plenty of afterparties along with the entire of the fashion industry flocking to the Big Apple for New York Fashion Week. Grammys looks are always a talking point. From Lady Gaga’s barely there costume to Beyonce’s dreamy dress, there were lots of hits and misses.
With the Academy Awards coming up, Oscar nominees are appearing here, there and everywhere. Emma Stone threw out the dresses for a sleeker look this week while Michelle Williams chose yet another great Louis Vuitton design. As always, Nicole Kidman hit the top spot along with co-stars Reese Witherspoon and Zoe Kravitz. Older faces including Helen Mirren and Isabelle Huppert were also huge style successes.
Awards season is well and truly under way. This week saw Hollywood’s finest turn out for the Screen Actors Guild Awards. Several dramatic Gucci gowns and striped numbers made an appearance; some worked, some didn’t. As usual, Nicole Kidman topped them all with Salma Hayek and Kate Hudson slipping into the miss category.
Three major events have seen everyone from major Hollywood stars to fashion FROWers to soap actresses take to various red carpets across the globe. The National Television Awards saw queen Holly Willoughby keep her best dressed crown while a few others donned some rather questionable looks. Paris’ couture shows saw (mostly) well-dressed faces while the Sundance Film Festival had its sartorial ups and downs with Elle Fanning dominating once again. Every celebrity FROW appearance at Paris’ couture shows 8 celebrities who aren’t afraid to re-wear their look
One woman topped the style list this week and she goes by the name of Ruby Rose. The Australian star is certainly not afraid to take risks, matching her lipstick to her ever more daring looks. The People’s Choice Awards also saw winning ensembles from the likes of Jennifer Lopez while Blake Lively and Kristen Bell just missed the mark with their overly fussy designs. Awards season has just kicked off and first up was the star-studded Golden Globes. Yellow was the big colour of the night with Natalie Portman and Viola Davis at the head of the style pack. Sequins were also a big fashion factor this week with the likes of British stars Claire Foy and Ruth Negga killing it in their sparkly gowns. On the fashion fail side, more dramatic looks from Sarah Jessica Parker and Janelle Monae didn’t quite cut it while Lady Victoria Hervey donned a rather interesting outfit.
Rising star Ruth Negga impressed us yet again in the style stakes with two appearances on this week’s best dressed list. As did lover of all things black-and-white, Janelle Monae. In fact, a lot of stars upped their game, opting for fun printed gowns over more traditional (and somewhat boring) styles. Let’s hope this is a trend for the awards season that’s just about to start.
A red carpet ensemble can go either two ways: a hit or a total mess. It’s inevitable that throughout a celebrity’s career, they will have one major fashion fail. 2016 saw the likes of Solange and Beyonce take top spots on the worst dressed list while Nicki Minaj and Katy Perry took several risks that just didn’t work. Here’s a rundown of the most disastrous looks to walk in front of the cameras this year. Most celebrities like to keep it simple on the red carpet, fearful of any potential wardrobe malfunction or place on a worst dressed list. A select few, however, love to shock; either by leaving little to the imagination or wearing something that sends a strong message. We’ve rounded up the most memorable looks from the 2016 red carpets. Prepare yourselves.
Celebrity fashion always keeps us on our toes. With some turning out look after look, others sometimes miss the mark. Cate Blanchett and Zendaya land the top spots this year with their dramatic ensembles working each and every time while other stars from the acting and music worlds struggled to pull off Gucci-style gowns. We’ve gone back over the many 2016 red carpets to find this year’s best and worst dressed. Enjoy. A royal review: The Duchess of Cambridge’s best looks of the year The biggest catwalk fails of 2016

From London Fashion Week to film premieres and the New York City Ballet fall gala, there’ve been a lot of opportunities for the world’s most famous faces to showcase their sartorial prowess - or lack there of. Emily Blunt was a definite fashion hit at the ‘Girl on the Train’ London premiere, Alexa Chung was the toast of the Burberry SS17 show and Lupita Nyong’o was a dream in lilac at the ‘Queen of Katwe’ premiere.
