The pre-fabricated micro apartments that every cash-strapped New Yorker has been daydreaming about since the project was first announced in 2012 are finally almost here.Located in NYC’s Kips Bay neighborhood, the building—called Carmel Place—will include 55 units ranging in size from 260 to 360 square feet (well below the city’s regular residential requirement of 400 square feet. Twenty-two of those will be “affordable,” with per-month pricing between $950 and $1,492.
