Over the past few years, Celine Dion has transformed into a global fashion icon in front of our eyes. The French-Canadian singer, 51, made a return to the spotlight at the GRAMMY Awards in February 2017, following her husband’s death in 2016, in a plethora of show-stopping ensembles. She followed this appearance up in a regal, ice blue Christian Siriano gown at the ‘Beauty and the Beast’ premiere. But, it was her Haute Couture Fashion Week wardrobe in summer 2017 that cemented her status as a sartorial street style goddess.Wearing everything from a snakeskin Balmain ensemble to a floral, Gucci coat that Carrie Bradshaw would covet and a hat and cape combo that wouldn’t look out of place in Lady Gaga’s wardrobe Dion proved she wear everything.Fast-forward to 2020 and Dion’s off-duty looks hit a new style high - a feat that we didn’t think was possible. From a hot pink, skirt-over-trousers outfit to a 60s-inspired Moncler x Richard Quinn co-ord, the mum-of-three effortlessly turns the world’s pavements into her own personal catwalk. We’re here for it.

Fashion Week shows might be full of next season’s wares, but it isn’t all about what we’ll be wearing in the future.Look at the street style of the influencers, fashion editors and buyers who attend and you’ll have plenty of inspiration for what to wear now.Across the pond in New York, fashion’s finest proved they can be just as creative with their ensembles as Londoners, with playful prints, plenty of texture and, erm, interesting headgear. What will London, Milan and Paris’ style icons wear? Watch this space.
Forget the likes of Paris and New York, as Copenhagen is a hot (obviously chic) contender in the running for the seriously coveted title of fashion capital of the globe.Famed for their I-just-threw-this-on approach to dressing, Scandi ‘It’ girls are responsible for making hiking boots Insta-fodder and crowning Ganni with cult status. But who’s surprised? They’re the only fashion week attendees who eschew a branded Mercedes for wicker basket bikes to hop from show to show. This season, Scandinavia’s most fashionable names (we strongly advise following Pernille Teisbaek and Janka Polliani on Instagram) have been busy tackling Copenhagen’s cobbled streets in their most lust-worthy clobber. The key takeaways? Forget minimalism, as clashing pastel hues and animal prints are reigning the Danish capital RN with cowboy boots continuing to prove gram-worthy.Oh, and that Saks Potts coat is still firmly at the top of our wish list.Feast your eyes on this season’s chicest Copenhagen Fashion Week AW19 street style looks and we’ll join you in attempting florals with ‘dad’ trainers tomorrow…
It’s well-known that Parisians have a certain je ne sais quoi – a fact best demonstrated by a glance at the French capital’s street style stars. While New Yorker style veers toward the trend-led, London girls rock an off-beat individuality, and the Milanese embrace their flamboyance, Parisians are all about that elusive ‘effortless chic’.With the SS19 shows in full swing, we’ve rounded up the looks that give the French their reputation. We are in the midst of New York Fashion Week, and thanks to this year’s successful theCURVYcon we are seeing a tremendous amount of diversity in the street style surrounding it.I have been attending NYFW since 2011 and have seen a significant shift in the amount of fellow plus-size women attending shows, and it’s even more exciting that they are getting a place in the spotlight and being featured in street style articles. It is a moment they likely won’t forget — I broke down in tears when I received my first street style award as a curvy girl in People StyleWatch magazine, alongside straight-size stars like Alexa Chung and Olivia Palermo. This was a rare instance, but I am beyond thrilled that curvy girls are finally getting their well-deserved place in the fashion scene. The new sense of inclusivity that theCURVYcon is helping bring to New York Fashion Week is so needed, and the industry is taking notice. In the past few years, street style has got better and better. Off-duty models and celebrities are no longer simply throwing on jeans and oversized jumpers for trips to the supermarket, instead they’re dressing to impress in an array of on-trend ensembles that their fans can’t wait to recreate. But no one does street style better than Victoria Beckham. From printed dresses to pleated skirts and faux fur accessories, the singer-turned-designer has racked up an enviable portfolio of street style outfits – not to mention a huge amount of coverage for her own label, which she wears 99% of the time.VB is, without a doubt, our go-to, off-duty and one-woman inspiration.
