It’s hard to believe, but Jennifer Aniston turns 50 today. The ‘Friends’ star became a global style sensation during the popular sitcom’s run and even sparked one of the biggest hair trends of the 90s: ‘The Rachel’ cut.Since ‘Friends’, Aniston’s taken to hundreds of red carpets, debuting her classic, sartorial prowess on a regular basis. The actress’ fashion formula is well-established. She’s always had a penchant for black dresses, which she’s worn on repeat, in various styles, over the years. There’s also the odd pop of red peppered with a couple of subtle, pastel shades. Some might call the star’s wardrobe unexciting, but there’s something to be said for simple, sleek style that stands the test of time and isn’t dictated by current trends. In celebration of the actress’ big day, we chart Jennifer Aniston’s greatest fashion hits to date – from a plunging Versace number, worn at the Vanity Fair Oscar party in LA in 2017 to a metallic mini worn to an awards event in 2009.
It’s been almost 15 years since ‘Friends’ ended, but it seems Jennifer Aniston and Courteney Cox‘s friendship is as solid as it was while filming together.Courteney, 54, supported Jennifer, 49, at the premiere of her new film ‘Dumplin’ in LA last night, which the latter stars in alongside Dolly Parton.Jennifer wore one of her signature little black dresses – a sequinned, mini number – and kept her hair loose. Courteney, also in an all-black look, wore trousers with a longline jacket and heels. It’s by no means the only time the pair’s cemented their status as a red carpet power couple. Over the past 30-odd years, the actresses have accompanied one another to numerous events, from film premieres to award shows and fashion soirées.Scroll to see Jennifer Aniston and Courteney Cox’s red carpet history in photos.Follow us on Instagram and Facebook for non-stop inspiration delivered fresh to your feed, every day. Some of the biggest names in Hollywood stepped out on Monday night to celebrate the fourth annual InStyle Awards. The event, held at the Getty Museum in Los Angeles, was a celebration of the year’s biggest talents in hair, beauty and fashion.Oscar-winner Julia Roberts accepted the Style Icon award while Meghan Markle’s wedding gown designer, Givenchy’s creative director Claire Waight Keller, was named Fashion Designer of the Year.Actress and comedian Rebel Wilson walked the red carpet wearing a custom design by Givenchy to celebrate her stylist, Elizabeth Stewart.During an interview, Wilson discussed the importance of her design, as high fashion labels like the French fashion house begin to manufacture size-inclusive clothing.ALSO SEE: Pregnant Meghan Markle dazzles in diamonds and designer gown for Fiji evening engagement“I think the last big couture piece that [Givenchy artistic director] Clare Waight Keller did was Meghan Markle‘s wedding dress,” Wilson told PEOPLE. “And now she’s making me a dress so that’s kind of amazing just in and of itself. But then factor in the fact that it’s Givenchy – an amazing Paris fashion house — I’m a bit shocked how it all happened but really grateful. I think it’s a really cool move that they’re being inclusive with someone like me.”Wilson continued, “I could be wrong but Givenchy normally makes sample sizes, and obviously, I’m not sample size. I don’t know if they’ve ever made a plus-size couture dress before, they may have, but my stylist, Elizabeth Stewart, told me, ‘This is a massive deal.’ She’s never heard of them doing something like this.’”The actress is hopeful that her custom look won’t be the last and that more labels will follow suit.“I’m the average size and the average height of an American woman,” she said. “There’s so many more people who look like me than a fashion model so this is an awesome, positive move that Givenchy is doing by being inclusive of someone like me.”Check out our gallery of the InStyle Awards red carpet!Let us know what you think by commenting below and tweeting @YahooStyleCA!Follow us on Twitter and Instagram.Check out Yahoo Canada’s podcast, Make It Reign — our hot takes on all things royals in a non-stuffy way — on Apple Podcasts and Google Podcasts.
