Forget the likes of Paris and New York, as Copenhagen is a hot (obviously chic) contender in the running for the seriously coveted title of fashion capital of the globe.Famed for their I-just-threw-this-on approach to dressing, Scandi ‘It’ girls are responsible for making hiking boots Insta-fodder and crowning Ganni with cult status. But who’s surprised? They’re the only fashion week attendees who eschew a branded Mercedes for wicker basket bikes to hop from show to show. This season, Scandinavia’s most fashionable names (we strongly advise following Pernille Teisbaek and Janka Polliani on Instagram) have been busy tackling Copenhagen’s cobbled streets in their most lust-worthy clobber. The key takeaways? Forget minimalism, as clashing pastel hues and animal prints are reigning the Danish capital RN with cowboy boots continuing to prove gram-worthy.Oh, and that Saks Potts coat is still firmly at the top of our wish list.Feast your eyes on this season’s chicest Copenhagen Fashion Week AW19 street style looks and we’ll join you in attempting florals with ‘dad’ trainers tomorrow…
Pop singer Halsey has spoken out about the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show’s lack of diversity saying that she has "no tolerance for a lack of inclusivity". Writing on Instagram, the 24-year-old loosely referenced comments made by chief marketing officer Ed Razek, who, in an interview that came out shortly before the event was filmed, said he didn’t think “transsexuals” should walk the runway “because the show is a fantasy”.

Image and social networks have become key elements of fashion and luxury companies’ strategies. Today, social networks in general and Instagram in particular have become an essential medium, not to mention a vital sales channel for fashion brands. By nature, Instagram is well suited to fashion brands to whom the visual and “community” dimensions are essential: purchases generally linked to a feeling of belonging to a group, or through the imitation of stars, etc. Moreover, Instagram is unrivalled as a means to reach millennials: in 2017, 90 per cent of Instagram users were under 35.

The Sheguang Hu haute couture show at China Fashion Week turned some heads, especially when a model wearing a rat head strutted the runway.
First off, it’s one of the only high street brands to host a runway show at London Fashion Week — and all of fashion month, for that matter. Topshop’s e-commerce site live streamed the show Sunday afternoon, along with an announcement that some of the pieces shown would be available to purchase online immediately after the last model left the catwalk.
A model wears a bubble-hem dress at J.W. Anderson s/s 2017. London Fashion Week may be the shortest “week” of fashion month, but it’s consistently one of the most exciting — and that’s in part because it’s during LFW that Jonathan Anderson, aka J.W. Anderson, shows his collections. At just 32, Anderson is one of the youngest designers to show during fashion month — so his references this season were on point for someone who came of age during that era of trends.
The celebrity gossip-hungry world was waiting with bated breath to see which members of Alexander Wang’s buzzy #WangSquad would show up to his spring 2017 show (the answer: nearly all of them) — but the night’s real surprise was on the runway, not the sidelines. As squaders Kylie Jenner, her rapper, car-purchasing boyfriend Tyga, and singer-actress Tinashe looked on from the front row, Wang presented his loungewear-inspired new season looks, followed immediately by a finale featuring his long-rumored collaboration with German sportswear brand Adidas. The all-black collection included tees, crop tops, pants, jackets, a patent trench, and more for both men and women — all with Adidas’s recognizable trefoil logo turned upside-down. This is Wang’s first high-profile collab since his sporty, muted grayscale collection for H&M launched in November 2014 — and it’ll no doubt be a sellout.
In the Hot As Hell fashion at Swim Miami, little girls strutted the catwalk in skimpy suits. Some say letting little girls model bikinis counts as child abuse.
Front row A-listers at Marc Jacobs’ Resort ’17 show in New York witnessed two models slip on the same spot on the runway. The renowned fashion label was live streaming their show on their Facebook page, when the world caught sight of one model slip and fall flat on her behind. Unfortunately for the models, the front-row guests including US Vogue’s editor-in-chief Anna Wintour and former editor-in-chief of Vogue Paris Carine Roitfeld witnessed the girls take a tumble.
Actors, actresses, models, fashionistas and singers came together in Hollywood last night for Saint Laurent’s highly-anticipated spring show, for what was probably the most star-studded show of all time. The brand’s creative director, Hedi Slimane, debuted his men’s fall line and part of his womenswear collection for the brand he’s been applauded for turning around and anyone who’s anyone was there. Justin Bieber arrived on a skateboard, Miranda Kerr rocked an epic choker and leopard print jacket combo, Courtney Love poured herself into a liquid metallic number, Lady Gaga was eye-catching in a pair of retro sunnies and Zac Efron looked as dapper as ever. Emma Roberts, Jessica Alba and Demi Moore were just a few of the other famous faces to put in an appearance. Even Gary Oldman stopped by…
