Kylie Jenner almost pulled it off. The Lip Kit queen of Calabasas had managed a deceptively stealth entrance at the Alexander Wang show, partly because of her new shaggy haircut, and partly because the place — a ramshackle former concert hall in Harlem — was already packed with wall-to-wall fashion kids. Alas, Tyga blew her cover, because wearing an acid yellow fuzzy coat tends to do that. As the duo were pushed by bouncers towards the front of the room, interns and assistants finally realized King Kylie was in their midst, and mayhem ensued. Not that it wasn’t already nuts in there. ...

When a designer is willing to hold his fashion show 45 minutes later than it’s scheduled to begin, you know that someone big has yet to arrive. At Alexander Wang’s spring 2017 show — held Saturday night in New York — that someone was none other than Madonna. Alexander Wang’s look this season could best be described as California chill, or at least what we imagine #WangSquad member and model Hanne Gaby’s interpretation of this concept would be.
The celebrity gossip-hungry world was waiting with bated breath to see which members of Alexander Wang’s buzzy #WangSquad would show up to his spring 2017 show (the answer: nearly all of them) — but the night’s real surprise was on the runway, not the sidelines. As squaders Kylie Jenner, her rapper, car-purchasing boyfriend Tyga, and singer-actress Tinashe looked on from the front row, Wang presented his loungewear-inspired new season looks, followed immediately by a finale featuring his long-rumored collaboration with German sportswear brand Adidas. The all-black collection included tees, crop tops, pants, jackets, a patent trench, and more for both men and women — all with Adidas’s recognizable trefoil logo turned upside-down. This is Wang’s first high-profile collab since his sporty, muted grayscale collection for H&M launched in November 2014 — and it’ll no doubt be a sellout.
Photo: Steven Klein for Alexander Wang These days, you’re not a legit star until a fashion label’s snatched you up and added you to its posse. In lieu of becoming the latest soldier of the Balmain Army like girlfriend Bella Hadid, R&B artist The Weeknd—who’s currently touring North America—is newly collaborating with designer Alexander Wang on… something (See UPDATE below)! Though neither party has made an explicit announcement, Wang posted a brief memo on Twitter Tuesday, simply reading “#WangXO Stay tuned”—”XO” being the name of The Weeknd’s own label. #WANGxo Stay tuned.

Rumored frontrunners have included everyone from Sacai’s Chitose Abe to Alistair Carr, the former creative director of Pringle of Scotland, who worked under Nicolas Ghesquiere at Balenciaga for four years.
Riley Keough walks in Alexander Wang’s final show for Balenciaga. He sure knows how to make an exit. On Friday night, designer Alexander Wang closed the Balenciaga chapter of his autobiography with a little help from his friends. They came in the form of actresses (and Wang besties) Zoe Kravitz, Nicola Peltz, and Riley Keough (otherwise known as Elvis’s granddaughter).
