T-Mobile to buy Mint Mobile from Ryan Reynolds
CNN reports that T-Mobile made the announcement on March 15. The $1.35 billion deal includes Mint Mobile's parent company, Ka'ena Corporation, international calling service Ultra Mobile and Plum, a wireless wholesaler. Reynolds will retain his "creative role on behalf of Mint," according to a press release. Mint Mobile debuted in 2016 with the intention of providing an "affordable, premium wireless" service. Reynolds bought a minority ownership stake in 2019. At the time, he said he was "excited to champion a more practical approach to the most essential technology".
