Susannah Constantine has given her fans on social media and insight into her cold water swimming experience.

The former Strictly Come Dancing star often posts snaps of her swimming in gorgeous lakes or standing on beautiful beaches post-swim, and now the TV presenter has taken her fans along for a post-Christmas dip in a new video on her Instagram account.

In the video, the star is seen wearing a red one-piece swimsuit with a black swimming hat, swimming gloves and swimming boots.

After her friend emerges from a swim around the pond, Susannah eases herself into the water for a dip telling fans it's 2 degrees outside.

Susannah's followers were shocked the star went swimming in cold weather and took to the comment section to share their thoughts.

"I don鈥檛 understand. Why do you do this?" one fan wrote, to which Susannah replied: "For my anxiety and general mental well-being. It鈥檚 so uplifting and empowering. 馃槝"

"Love it - going to have a go," another fan wrote, while a third added: "Great job - I can see the sea from my house, you鈥檙e motivating me to challenge myself & get in more 馃ザ馃挅馃挅."
